Q‑Line · Live coaching and research for every callSoon

Get it right the first time.

Q‑Line sits beside your call, researches while you talk and cues your next move, so you leave with what you came for. By the time you hang up, the follow-up is written.

Why we built Q‑Line

The smartest mind in the room isn't human anymore. Now it's on your side of the table.

It's tempting to let it do the talking. Yet people trust people, and the words that win a deal, a job or a better plan for your child should still be yours. Q‑Line puts a second mind beside you on every call: researching what comes up, finding the sharper question, keeping you on course. You say it. You earn it.

  • Research while you talk

A company, a number or a rule comes up. Q‑Line looks it up mid-sentence and shows you the source.

  • It does the maths

Turns a vague pain into a figure everyone at the table can agree on, before price comes up.

  • An expert in your ear

Never had this conversation before? Borrow the instincts of someone who has: a career coach, a support coordinator, a seasoned seller.

  • Holds you to your outcome

Every cue points back at what you came for, and you know the moment the call starts to drift.

  • In the room, too

Any call in your browser, or a conversation across the table with your laptop or phone beside you.

  • Then practise it again

Missed a moment? Rehearse the next conversation with someone who talks like the person you met.

Note-takers write down what happened. Q‑Line changes what happens.

01Before the call

Walk in knowing what you want.

Write the outcome in one sentence. Q‑Line reads up on the company and the person you're meeting, suggests your opening questions, and points every cue on the call back at that sentence.

Want a dry run? Ready runs a five-minute rehearsal of the meeting first.

Setting up a sales call in Q‑Line. Goal: Agree a paid pilot with a named owner and a start date. Meeting Priya, Head of People at Northwind. Q‑Line's brief: Who: Priya leads People at Northwind, which opens two new sites this year. Likely pain: How long new starters take to do real work. Open with: “What happens in a new starter’s first two weeks?” Find out: Who signs off on spend, and how much.

02During the call

The right question, while you can still ask it.

Q‑Line hears both sides of the call, looks things up as they come up and whispers your next move, steady enough to read between sentences. Pick a call and watch it work.

Showing the sales call example: Agree a paid pilot with a named owner and a start date.

Your goal

Coached like a value-first seller. The call, moment by moment:

  1. At 02:10: Them: We’re reviewing how we bring new people on board. Honestly, it’s a bit of everything. You: Where would you like to start? Q‑Line suggests, Ask: What actually happens in a new starter’s first two weeks? (“A bit of everything” is too vague to solve. Get one concrete story.)
  2. At 07:45: Them: We hired forty people last quarter. Half of them waited about two weeks for training. You: And while they wait? Them: They shadow, mostly. Not much real work. Q‑Line did the maths: 20 people × 2 weeks waiting. About 40 working weeks lost a quarter, around $60,000 in salary alone. Q‑Line suggests, Say: So the wait costs you roughly $60,000 a quarter. Does that sound right? (Turn the pain into a number they agree with before price comes up.)
  3. At 14:20: Them: That’s more than I’d have guessed. But budget is tight this year. Q‑Line suggests, Ask: If the pilot paid for itself inside a quarter, would budget still be the blocker? (Anchor on the $60,000, not the price.)
  4. At 21:05: Them: Probably not. But anything over twenty thousand goes to our CFO. Q‑Line looked it up: Northwind is opening two new sites this year. Two sites, hiring from Q3. Q‑Line suggests, Ask about: Your CFO. Could they join twenty minutes next week, with the new sites in mind? (They decide, and two new sites means even more new starters waiting.)
  5. At 28:40: Them: Let’s try it with the Brisbane team. I’ll get our CFO on a call. You: Great. Can we pencil in the third of March to start? Q‑Line suggests, Watch for: Lock the owner and the start date before you hang up. (Your goal needs both. You have them.)

Goal reached: Pilot agreed with the Brisbane team. Priya owns it, the CFO joins next week.

03After the call

Hang up. The follow-up is written.

Whether you got what you came for, what mattered, who agreed to what and by when, and a follow-up ready to send before the other side has opened their notes.

To Priya · Brisbane pilot, next steps

Hi Priya, thanks for today. As promised, I’ll send a one-page outline for the Brisbane pilot tomorrow, starting on the third of March. It shows how the two-week training wait adds up to about $60,000 a quarter. Looking forward to meeting your CFO next week.

Where it helps

For the calls that decide things.

Sales, hiring and support meetings each get their own coaching. For anything else, write what you want from it and Q‑Line works toward that, on your own or at work.

  • Sales calls

“Agree a paid pilot with a named owner and a start date.”

Draws out the buyer’s pain and who decides, then pins down a dated next step.

  • Hiring interviews

“Find out if Sam has really led a team through a hard change.”

Coaches the interviewer toward specific evidence, never toward questions about personal traits.

  • NDIS and support meetings

“Keep the therapy hours, with any change explained in writing.”

Helps you set out goals and evidence calmly, and ask for decisions to be explained.

  • A hard talk with your manager

“Leave with what I need to show for the senior role, and a date to review it.”

Turns “not this year” into what to show, and a date to review it.

  • Parent-teacher meetings

“Agree one change in class to help Mia settle in the mornings.”

Say what is and isn’t working, and leave with an owner and a date for each action.

  • Any call with an outcome

A landlord, a supplier, a contract renewal. If you can say what you want from it, Q‑Line can coach toward it.

Questions

Before you ask.

Does Q-Line record my calls?

Phil never stores audio. Your browser streams the sound to a transcription service and Phil keeps the text: the transcript, Q-Line’s notes, any research and the recap. Delete a call and all of that goes with it.

Do the other people on the call need to know?

Yes. Before every call you confirm that everyone knows you are using live transcription, and Q-Line will not start listening until you do. Q-Line does not join the meeting as a participant, so telling people is up to you. Follow the recording laws where you and they are.

Which meeting apps does it work with?

Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams or any other call running in a Chrome or Edge tab on a computer, such as Webex or a Slack huddle. You share the call’s tab with its audio, and Q-Line hears your microphone as You and the tab as Them. If the call is in a desktop app, on speaker or in the room, Q-Line can listen through your microphone instead.

Will it tell me exactly what to say?

It shows up to three short cues at a time: a question to ask, a line to say, a person worth asking about or something to watch for. Each comes from what was said on the call, and Q-Line is told never to invent facts, prices, names or commitments. You decide what to use.

Who can use Q-Line?

It’s an add-on for Pro and Pro Max, whether you’re on your own or running a team. It includes 10 hours of live calls a month, or 120 hours a year with annual billing.

What happens when my hours run out?

Q-Line wraps up the call you are on and writes its recap. Your hours renew at the start of the next billing period.
